Which protine is better and why? I've been taking a GNC combination brand which contains less the 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of protine, but how different are the two and why? Other then taste of course....

Also does anyone here know if soy really does influence estrogen production? My mother has been taking an OTC soy supplement for some time now, and I'm curious to know just how influencial soy really is on hormones.

I don't think one is better than the other. However, each have their place in your daily nutrition.

Whey is by far the best source post-workout. It is readily absorbed by the body and the best time for this would be after a grueling workout.

Soy, on the other hand, has had its fair share of negatives and positives. However, I recommend having some soy in your diet. Soy contains isoflavones which claim to lower cholesterol, suppress menopausal hot flashes, reduces risk of heart disease and reduces osteoporosis.
