I need someone to tell me what a speed bench is. I have been in the weightroom since i was about 14 im 19 now and mostly because of bad teaching i still have many things to learn and this is one of them. So please someone tell me what speed bench is and how i should use it in a workout thank you.
Speed bench is benching fast. You take a light weight, anywhere from 47-60% of your 1RM, and perform 3 reps as fast as you can with good form. Light touch on the chest, butt on the bench, feet pushing into the floor, shoulder blades pinched tight, and bar moving straight up and down and not in an arcing pattern.
