Well, admist my 2nd 12 week phase (cutting phase) I have managed to break both my ankle and foot skateboarding. Needles to say, this puts a damper on my H.I.I.T cardio routine as well as any hopes of Deadlifts and Squats :(

I am so close to meeting my goals for abs by June 1st and refuse to give up. Do you guys have any reccomendations for H.I.I.T routines I can do with a foot cast (perhaps taping my big ass foot to a stationary bike) or replacement lower body exercises that do not put strain on the ankles or foot bone. I tried Leg curls lastnight and it didnt seem to affect my ankle or foot (Hams or Glute curls).

This sucks so bad...... I could use the help guys.

If your muscle wont allow you to do the last few reps, make your mind and heart do it. Your muscles will thank them later.

Have you ben to a doc for it? I would not really train it as that can lead to a longer recovery time!:(

Do the upper body ergometer or sit on the floor behind a bike and cycle with your arms. You won't get your heart rate as high, but you won't decondition as fast.

You can train doing seated, upper body exercises and I wopuld think you could do leg extension and leg curls if the position isn't too uncomfortable.

I know Debbie kruck taped her cast to a stationary cycle, but the pain and positioning mught be a bit much, I don't think it would be too wise....

Consult a doctor or physical therapist please and good luck. Ankle injuries are not something to take lightly, they take a long time to heel, so take it easy.
