Check out Alcoholics Anonymous - one of the oldest organizations out there.
Research nutritional supplementation - I know certain vitamins and minerals can help quell cravings and craete a better chemical atmosphere in your body for recovery.
Detox youir body with a clean diet and start a walking program, eventually a lifting program.
Alcoholism is a biggie - it takes time and determination, and lots of help. Both of my parents are Recovering Alcoholics, sober for (wow) 20 years now. It can be done!
Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Check out AA. Email me , I'll be glad to talk with you. You don't have to live that way.

Concentrate on getting sober my friend. Are you still living in India? I don't know what your support system is like, but I'm sure your mther(who is a social worker) can set you up with a place to go to get the care you need. You have taken the first step and that is addmitting it is a problem and it needs to be eliminated. You have our support.

Almost 11 years for me.No AA or other support group.I just knew I wanted a better life for myself and drinking was never going to get me anywhere. If you really want to quit, then make the change.Take it one day at a time. You hear that statement all the time but I lived by it.One minute, one hour, one day at a time.Stay away from others that are drinking until you're strong enough to say no.Finding some sort of support would be ideal.Nothing better than having someone there for you to help you through the hard times. You've already won half the battle, just keep on fighting.
