It's the weekend and you're going to a restaurant.. you want to still be good, but enjoy the meal.. what do you order? and how do you know the p/c/f ratio in that meal?

I think it kind of depends on what kind of restaurant you go to. For example I find it easier to get a healthier meal from say a steak place than if I went to a mexican restaurant or italian. Alot of it will have to do with what kinds of foods you like.
Though just a thought to keep in mind, go diet for the soda if you drink it, and try to skip the appitizers/dessert, that will help keep the calorie intake down.

I eat just about anything, except asparagus (yuk!)..
Tonight, we're actually going to a diner, so they'll do just about anything... not sure if I trust a diner to do a nice job on a steak though..
I'm just curious what people do in general when going out to dinner, whether it's to a diner, a chain like Applebees, or to something like The Olive Garden.
I seem to limit myself to grilled chicken or a steak, but it can get boring after a while.
I've ditched sodas for 2 weeks now, only water, usually (not always) would skip dessert and have something at home that's low carb (I like Carb Sense ice cream, as long as I can afford the high fat on that particular day).
Out of curiousity, I know that it's not beneficial to have simple carbs before bed, but is that the same for fat? Should before bed meal be strictly protein?
Thanks!

Also ask for all condiments and toppings on the side.

My personal favorite is a grilled chicken salad when we go out to eat, with HB eggs, tomatos, cucmbers, almonds :)

Almost everywhere has some type of grilled chicken (blackened, cajun, plain) and steamed vegies. Look at dietfacts.com and your restaurant may be listed.

New York Steak, with a Baked Potatoe and Veggie :D
Salmon, with Rice and Veggies
Grilled Chicken.
Fajitas.
I always only ask for water, and if I get a Salad to start, try and get it with no Dressing.
