Hello All!
I touched all the basics in my profile.
I'm 38, 5'11 and today discovered that I'm at 170lbs. This didn't appear over night, but the scale shock and reality check hit pretty hard today.
I began working out about 5 years ago after reaching 165. I changed my lifestyle, eating habits and lost down to 140lbs. Obviously this didn't happen over night, but it did happen.
Unfortunately, I've let "life" sneak back up on me. I remarried in January 2002. Between being a wife, a mom of a troubled teen and a new stepdaughter, the stress has taken it's toll. I have let my health and well being take backseat to everything else.
The realization that everything I've worked so hard for over the past few years has slowly disappeared suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks today.
I'm in the gym 3-4 times a week and consider myself fairly active. Hiking and bike riding and walking regularly. Weight training has slacked significantly because of the back problems. I'm currently in physical therapy for disc problems due to a jet ski accident 3 years ago.
I feel like I'm 80 years old.......I don't like it!
I've fought this battle before and won, Today begins the 2nd go around....I'll win this one too!

The key to winning the battle is to keep fighting it. Looks like you are fully engaged. This is a great place to be inspired and to inspire others. Welcome here. I look forward to hearing of your progress.

I have posted in the past as to how these folks on this site have helped motivate me into losing 60 pounds. I am sure that everyone here will be a big help. Also answers you seek here are only a question away.
Good luck!!
