Hey everyone, I was wondering, what is everyone buying/doing for a shopping list? What do you eat? I am looking for new ideas, I'll share my (average) diet program, and feel free to critisize/praise or recomend!
We buy:
Ground beef (a lot, 3 - 4 pounds) 96% lean
2 - 4 chicken brests
2 - 4 pieces of pork
2 steaks
a roll of sausage (not sure of how much is in there!)
Tortias, small and large ones
Bread, a wheat and white
Craft singles (grilled cheese)
Butter, I think we buy a low fat kind... not sure exactly what but I know it is not Margerin.
canned vegies, creamed corn, french cut green beans, corn
Random cheese, cubes, normaly cheddar, swiss, perhaps some string cheese
cotage cheese (small curd)
Grapes or apples
bananas or mellon
a type of butter rolls
Milk
crystal light
Eggs, 18 large
I think that is it..
here is how we eat it!
Breakfast:
Tortia+scrambled eggs+sausage, and a slice of cheese on it, or salsa, coffie or a gatorade
Morning snack:
Cotage cheese or grapes, or banana
Lunch:
2 small tortias filled with ground beef, salsa and cheese
dinner:
one of the meats, steak/pork/chicken a vegie, and some rolls or perhaps make some garlic bread. we get rice from time to time and may sub that.
after or before dinner snack:
toast with cinnamon/sugar some more fruit, we will find something
what do you all think? we do cheat a bit, I will sneak some chocolate from time to time, my wife will do a little cheating too, but any feed back? What are you eating?
