I'm trying to loose weight and build a healthier daily diet, but it seems that I always come in short with the proteins, even though I drink a whole lotta milk and eat plenty of meat.

so I was wonderirng if anybody knew some ideal sources for proteins. I mean regular foods that you could eat everyday.

I just cant get myself to take protein bars, protein shakes, meatshakes or whatever it is, there must be a more natural way... I mean, cottage cheese is great, but I cant go around eating cottage cheese every single day. and I do have an egg limit.

bars and shakes will give you an expensive life and loads of sugary carbs...
A little tin of tuna or salmon will have 25 to 30 grams of protein. Look at fish because you get the good fats too.
Good protein sources when dieting are chicken, turkey, fish, oily fish... All meat is protein but more fat comes with pork, lamb, beef so choose the cuts carefully..
If you eat 3 small meat/fish portions a day- you must have 90+ grams of protein just there? But as you say you are slimming- So eat 6 or more very small 'meals' a day that are balanced and easy to follow- make it a lifestyle, not a diet- because when you stop dieting you will get fat again. Milk is good but does contain fat and carbs(it is a mothers milk)- get skimmed, it's higher protein. You say you eat plenty of meat??? So where is your shortfall- maybe it's too much!

thanks, that helps alot! I guess I have to choose my meats more carefully... I eat quite alot of pork :( which I guess is not so good... I'm gonna start looking more at fish and chicken  I had no idea fish had that much protein! its a good thing cause I live partly in japan, seaweed must be good too, huh?

yeah, its a life style changing thing I'm undergoing, and thats also why I dont consider supplements a good "alternative" in the long run... and you cant have a whole family living off bars and shakes!

thanks for the advice, I will gladly accept more good ideas!

You may want to check out "Grocery list for a body builder" here on the boards. I've pasted the url for you, so you don't have to search.
