I have to be honest, my goals change every week. One week I want to be big, one week I want to be ripped. In reality I just want to be healthy, and look and feel as good as I can. So give me your thoughts!

I think that if it weren't for your wife, you might be laying eggs right now.

hec - i think your diet is good, you might want to switch out the fruit at the end of the day for veggies.

Orange Juice is pretty empty carbs, but my husband insists on drinking it, too. I just think you could use the calories differently.

You look pretty healthy to me. How do you feel?
Are you getting the results you want (well, when you settle on what you want?)?

The only way I can eat cottage cheese is with sliced apples. Any other idea as to what I could eat at night? I feel good, the hypochondriac in me says I will be dead in 3 years.

Not knowing your calorie needs, I would assess things as such(you may need more protein, 4 oz. is usually not very much, and 4 egghites is not much for breakfast either). As asimmer says, drop the orange at 4. Insert fibrous veggies here instead. I would also ditch the orange juice, high fructose and not much there. The amount of vitamins you get from it you can get from other sources. (your body processes fructose whether from soft drinks or fruit juice exactly the same). Also your 9 oclock snack is more what your pre workout meal should be. At dinner don't have white rice, have brown, or sweet potato, or black beans or black eyed peas(about any bean will do good here). The apple with the cottage cheese at night is also not a good idea, try sprinkling some sugar free jello mix on it, or use salsa. I can make a post of a bunch of different ways to do cottage cheese.

OK so I will ditch the OJ at breakfast. I intake 250g of protein a day. I think that is enough. What are some examples of fibrous veggies? Brocolli etc...? I will drop the banana and have my 9pm snack pre workout. Is a baked potato fine at dinner? I would like some recipes for cottage cheese yes, or some other ideas for what to eat before bed. Thanks everybody.

The next thing you may think about doing is instead of eating every 2 hrs. 4 oz. of protein, eat every 3 hours and have 6 oz. of protein and your other macornutrients, and you will actually cut calories. I really don't think you get too much out of eating every 2 hrs., you would do well with 3 hrs.

Cheesecake Shake
Go buy some lowfat Jell-O cheesecake mix, and add one tablespoon to this mix: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, ¾ cup of cottage cheese, 1 cup ice cubes, a dash of Splenda, and just enough water to mix it in a blender. To make this really special, add a couple of drops of vanilla extract and a graham cracker. Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Blueberry Cheesecake
Use another tablespoon of the cheesecake Jell-O, and mix with the following in an electric blender: ¾ cup frozen blueberries, ¾ cup cottage cheese, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 cup ice, and ½ cup water. Blend on high for 30 secs, then pour into a bowl and top with about ½ inch of raw oat bran. Lightly press the oat bran into the mix , until it looks like a crust, then refrigerate for an hour.

Peanut Butter Cup Pudding
Put 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, 2 tablespoons chocolate fudge Jell-O mix, 2 tablespoons natty peanutbutter, ¾ cup cottage cheese, 1 cup ice cubes, and ½ cup water in a blender, blend on high for 1 minute. Pour it into a bowl, sprinkle with chopped walnuts, and refrigerate for an hour.(this one would be good before bed)

Eastern Mediterranean Style
Spread some cottage cheese in a bowl, add chopped cucumbers and tomatoes around the edge, then drizzle olive oil over everything. Top with a can of tuna and enjoy.(this one would be good before bed also).

If I worked out in the mornings what would be a good pre workout snack? I have a tough time eating every 3 hours with working out during lunch.

Yo Hec, The experts have spoken and have given some good advice. As for me, I say you look good from your pics so you're doing something right. Looking at your diet you are close (hell, looks damn near perfect to me). What IS your fitness goal anyway? I think that will help as far as your diet. BTW I think your diet probably beats about 98% of the population anyway. You like fruit, huh?

Pre-workout have some whey protein, it won't slow you down. if you are lifting have some carbs to get you through the workout. Oatmeal and a few raisins, mmm. Eat that 1/2 - 1 hour before lifting.

Now, bbfit1, i want you to know I am drooling on my keyboard from your shake recipes. Can i use those recipes? Are the calories from the cheesecake mix insignificant?
