phyto estrogen studies wre mostly done in Japan, where they don't pastuerize soy products, here everything is pastuerized, which lowers the estrogen content in soy (according to a doc I know). Soy is an inferior source of protein, what type are you using?

Tuna in water, not albacore, has les mercury. I like it better than canned salmon, which I can barely choke down. Canned salmon is higher in EFA's which is good, and calcium if it has those nasty softened bones in it (gag). Just my opinion, I don't know if one is any better than the next as far as protein quality. I doubt it.

I don't drink milk, either. i don't think soy will have any negative effect. Soy can be an allergen also, really anything can. Rice is very low allergy causing, I like vanilla rice milk, though I rarley ever use any type of milk anymore - what are you going to use it for?

To eat my cereal in the morning and to mix into a shake every now and then.

The BEST!!!! Soy milk I have ever tasted is 8th Continent Soy Milk!! It doesn't have that really "soy" taste. It comes in regular, vanilla and chocolate. I give my husband the chocolate and he doesn't know its not regular milk. The trick is that it is in the refridgerated section of the grocery store, not in the nutrition section. Hope this helps!!
