this is what the nutrition planner has for me. it seems a little high. isnt 42 grams of fat pretty high? does fat work with protein like a synergy? i dunno these numbers just seem a little high. i weigh 222 and am 6 feet tall.
INPUT?
Protein -
222 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Carbohydrates -
555 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Fats -
42 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Total Calories -
3450 .. calculated maximum, do not exceed for current goal

I come out with 3,000 calories for you as a basic need, and then you need to add for your activity level and figure out how much of a deficit you need to create... But you have to establish your baseline (what you average daily over a week's time) and work from there gradually.
What are your goals with your diet?
222g protein is a good starting goal, 42g of fat really isn't that much, you should get a lot of it from your protein sources (even when they are lean) and then supplement with olive oil, flaxseed oil and fish oil. Good fat actually helps you burn bodyfat.
555g seems a little high for carbs, but that also would depend on your goals. If they come from the right sources, it may be the right amount.

Write down what you eat now, on a typical day and when you eat it.

i dont really want or think i need to lose weight because i am naturally big. i just want to the lose the body fat, i work out 3 or 4 days a week. i do like 30 minutes muscle strength and then 30 min cardio on the bike. today i ate well, i had oatmeal, an egg, 2 glasses of skim milk, and some water. for lunch i had miso soup, a tuna roll with avacado and a small portion of noodles. cashews and water throughout the day. small small sandwich about an hour ago. not sure on what i am going to do for dinner, but since i have been working out i have seen my waist size drop even over this last week or so, at least an inch.

Congrats on the weight loss in your waist! Keep working out!
You don't eat very much, not enough for your size.
