I am looking to create a three day workout plan but I do not want one of the FT programs. How should I best split up the exercises into three days so that I work all body parts effectively. Up till now I have been working out three times a week splitting upper and lower body on alternate days. Any advice you all have would be greatly appreciated.

one I use for a 3 day is this
mon chest /back( this is done because it gives a great pump, while the chest is resting the back is working, and vice versa.)
wed legs and biceps
fri shoulders, triceps
the leg day in the middle of the week, gives you a work out of th elower body so you actually have 3 days in between your next upperbody workout. I do this workout during cheerleading season, and I think works great. Although if preferred you can put back on shoulder day and move tricpes to chest day.

This is what I came up with...
Mon Chest & Back
Wed Legs
Fri Shoulders, Tirceps & Biceps
I also finish my workouts with abs and 10 - 15 cardio with two 30 - 45 min cardio sessions in addition to weight training days.

mon chest &back
wed Legs & biceps
fri Shoulder & triceps
I would try this one because you don't want to overtrain your arms.
