Hi mjp13754,
Sticking my 2 cents in because my husband had triple bypass in 1988 - you know you should do nothing without checking with your cardiologist first of course? My hubby was told walk, walk, walk and get the cholesterol down.
Good Luck and hang in there, your recover hasn't been easy I'm sure, but you know it's worth it:love:

mjp and PamCan, welcome to FT. Its great to see more and more "mature" people like us around the board.
I joined about 11 months ago. With the changes I've made in diet and exercise, I hope to avoid the health problems that my father, grand and great grandfathers had. Heart disease and hypertension run in the family.
With the diet and exercise combo, I have lowered my cholerterol from 226 to 182. I've lost 4 inches from my waist and 6 from my abdomen. My BP is 122/72 with meds. The doc has already cut me back on the meds as well. I hope to come off them altogether at some point. The diet is critical. Do a little research in the Nutritional board and ask question. This is a win/win situation.
I hope you both stick around. When the puppies here aim the geezer shots at you, just shoot back. Kind of like shooting guppies in a barrel:big_smile: Congrats on the smoking thing and welcome to FT.
