There are a couple of different ways to do cardio... the regular way, 20 to 40 minutes or so... then the High Intensity Interval Training way...
From what I have gathered, they both do the job, but the HIIT works for you longer...
For HIIT you do a warm up for a few minutes... 3 or 4, then work your heiny off... go hard for 30 seconds, then slow the pace down for 30 seconds... do that for about five to ten minutes or so... then cool down for a few minutes after you're done... trust me, you'll feel it this way...
There are a few different ways to do it, just do a search in Fit Buddy and you'll get lots of explanations of each way... some others on the board can explain the reasons for one over the other better than me...
There are many arguments for when to do cardio and weight training... most here feel, as do I, to separate them... if possible, do cardio on an off day from your resistance training... if you can't do that, make sure they are about five or six hours apart... I do the cardio in the morning and the weights in the evening, but I don't think it matters if you switch them up...
