Plant your hands on the edge of a bench or hard chair... palms down with your fingers over the edge... stretch your legs out with your knees slightly bent... extend your arms while pushing your body up... I don't lock my elbows... I then lower myself to the point where my arms are then parallel to the floor...push back up...

You can add weight to this too... put a plate in your lap while doing them... :dumbbell:

Hope that is clearly explained!

There is a good explanation in the Health Resources section of FT, too.... different variations as well... putting your feet on another bench while you do them... check it out...

I only use the dip/leg raise apparatus found in most gyms. You can add weight to this by strapping on the belt with a plate, or dumbbell. Try not to lean forward too much for this takes a lot of pressure off of your triceps and defeats the purpose.

I think that it's different for everyone. The universal way is to don't go below 90degrees (That is your elbow makes a 90degree arc). Some like to go lower to feel the burn. I would stay safe and keep at a 90degree arc.
