Hello, I'm 13. I am about 5'9 and around 158 pounds. Now summer I almost here and Memorial Day week I am going to the beach. I have a good personality as the ladys tell me but I kinda have a belly and no muscles really. I eat really whatever I feel like eating but sometimes I try to hold back from eating really fatening things. What I would like to do is try to lose some weight and get into shape before the summer. As I said I am 13 and can't really tell my mom what food to buy at the store. I do around 100 curl ups a day and I drink about 5 or more bottles of water a day. Lol, that is my plan of losing weight right now. I have been doing it for about a month or so now and don't notice to much of a difference. Oh and I CAN'T even do like 1 push-up. I could never do push-ups and I still can't. So what I am asking is if there are some good free excercises I could do at home, a way I could eat healthy but with the regular food I have at home, and maybe some other Ideas that could get me into shape. Oh 1 more thing lol. I live on a Lake that is about a 1 mile so...if that could help me in some way. Please help.

My young friend... you have found a site with 'good free exercises I could do at home.' Fill out your profile, pick an exercise program and hop to it! Ask all the questions you can.. also, follow the nutrition guide on this site...

As for the lake, run to it... or swim in it (Not sure where you are, but if it's warm enough use it)....

On average, a person can lose about a pound or two per week... work hard, stick with the program and watch what you eat and you'll do well...

Welcome to ft! And don't forget to fill out the profile so the pros can help you better!

Oh... gotta add...don't rush the weight loss... lose the weight a healthy way and it'll likely staff off longer....

Man.. been a long time since I signed on... I think you have to click on "Your Personal Profile" and go from there.... perhaps updating it...

For the exercise, go to the home page or the bar at the top of this page and click on "Fitness Plan."

Hope that helps...
