You're never too young... go ahead, follow a fitness routine and a healthy eating plan... I wish I would have paid more attention when I was 15!

Welcome to ft!

Ahhhh 15 was my favorite age. My son is also 15 and starting to take more of an interest in his health and physique. If you start now you wont be struggling to make up for years of neglect, like some of us older folks. Good luck and welcome to FT.

How do I drop 10lbs. in a week? I've been fighting a war that I'm losing. For the past 4 and half years I've not been able to lose the weight from my pregnancy 40lbs to be exact. I lose 10lbs then gain 5lbs and then lose 15lbs and gain 10lbs. It's upsetting for me! How do I get those first few lbs. off to get me motivated and keep them off. I miss being able to sit down w/o wearing clothes to cover myself and I'd love to be able to walk w/o thighs touching. So any advice to give would be nice!!!!

Welcome to FT! One thing you should know is you can't lose 10lbs in one week in a healthy way... you can lose about a pound to two and a half pounds a week... that's more realistic and healthy...

To do that successfully, you have to eat... five or six small meals a day... drink lots of water... do some cardio and resistance training...

Do a search on Fit Buddy for bb1's grocery list for a body builder... lots of food items there... also, look up HIIT... it's a form of cardio exercise...

And make sure you fill out your profile and choose a fitness and nutrition routine...

AND ask plenty of questions and do lots of research on this site... you'll get a lot of help...

Again, welcome to FT!

Thanks for the advice and info. But if I want to lose fat and get a little toned; don't want to look like a body builder; is doing bb1's for body bulider and cardio the way to go? For TimDay from April 30, 2004! I have a trampoline and found out that instead of lossing inches in my legs and weight, I gained inches in my legs and weight as well. I'm 160lbs and wish to be 120lbs, I'm also 5'3" so you can imagine these numbers add up to chunky. I hope to one day refer to chunky as in chocolate chip cookies and not to myself! So I want to know how to lose weight, get toned, and not to get bigger in size! :)

I did HIIT on one of those mini trampolines... worked for me.. perhaps another method might work for you... everyone is different...
