My nutrition profile states that I need to consume 196g of protein, 392g of carbohydrates, 32g of fat, and 2611 calories. This is already proving hard to do. How do I get that much protein in? I tried a few peotein shakes but I am lactose intolerant and they all cause me stomach pain. Any recomendations?

how much do you weigh? maybe it is a bit high in it's estimates of your needs.

There are lactose free types of protein (egg and soy), try looking for one of those.

I weigh 196 pounds at the moment. I was told that protein intake should be at about 1g per 1lb of body weight. Thanks for the tip on egg and soy protein. I will check out GNC and some health food stores to see If I can find.

One more question. I am lifting 3 times per week and doing cardio 2 times per week. My cardio routine consists of:

30 mins running/walking = 2 miles
15 mins eliptical
15 mins bike

Is this decent for a beginner or do I need to add more?
