Hi, I am new to this site. 5.2’ , about 160 LB.The goal is to lose weight (to about 110 lb) and get more flexibility and tone in my muscles. Gave birth in Aug of 2003 and struggling to get in shape. I have three questions that I am trying to get help with:
1. – Due to the lack of money and time I am exercising in a small gym in a condo complex. I thought it has nice selection of machines but there are lot of exercises from the routine schedule that I got on this site that can not be performed accurately or can not be performed at all using these machines. For example, for tomorrow I have machine squats that should be performed on Smith machine. There is no one in that gym. Another set is calf raises on leg press machine. There is no one there as well. Any help with alternatives for these two?
I am not even sure that the routine that I have is going to help with the muscles’ tone and flexibility. Sounds more like developing mass in my muscles.
2. If I want to add swimming to my routine, should I substitute one day exercising with swimming or add it to my routine?
3. Does anyone knows how often a week you can use sauna?
