I have been doing the same routine for about 1 month 1/2. I have heard that your body gets used to your routine and so you hit a plateau. So now.. how do I change my routine? Do I take stuff out, add things in..or simply change the order of what I do. Here is a list of what I do now. I go every other day or wait a few days.

1. 10 minute warm up cardio
2. I do pull downs w/the bar, pulling down in front of my face towards my
chest. Don't know the name of this. Duh! But anyways I do 12 reps/3 sets.
3. I do the row machine. 12reps/3 sets
4. Chest exercise, lying down. 12reps/3 sets.
5. Shoulder press. 12 reps/3 sets.
6. Either I do kickbacks or the rope for triceps.
7. Then I do the squat machine.
8. 30 minutes cardio.

Take stuff out, add stuff in, switch it up. Use some creativity.

Would it be classified as overly competitive if I refused to let a 4 year old beat me at chutes and ladders?

Out of curiosity, how often do you change your routines? From what I've learned, it seems the general rule of thumb is 6 - 8 weeks.

I personally like to switch it up every 4-6 weeks. I get bored doing the same workout.
