Being new to this sport I have a few questions. When taking time to let your muscles recover and biuld, such as taking a day off between training, could this be a day off for a section of muscles or must it be for the whole body? Is it okay to add exercises to my routine that are not on the program giving here? Thanks

Woodie, you pretty much gotta let your body guide you. Your muscles grow during rest and time off so you need total non lifting days. A lot of people do cardio only on days off. But I think you need at least one or 2 days a week to just rest and grow.

I add exercises and reps to the FT routines all the time.

Thanks, I just fell that I could do more at the end of my routine. Not that I'm slacking, It's just feels like there are some muscles that want to work too.

I do the same.. working some muscle groups a little more during the routine, but definitely have a total day at rest between workouts. I also only do each muscle group once a week, as I have heard on this board provides the most optimal growth with plenty of rebuild time.
