Hey guys,

I am in the middle of making up my own routine, I used the FT routine when I was in Univ, and it worked out ok, but I want to try my own thing for now since i have time in the summer.

ok I used to be on a 4 days on / 3 days rest routine. Now in my own routine how much days a week should I have rest, and is it good to have 2 consecutive days of rest?

I am a big guy, and I just want to get lean.
So my other question is, I was reading up on Supersets, and I kinda like the idea, is that a good exercise to do when your trying to get lean?

Thanks any help is appreciated.

To answer your first question, you can have 2 consecutive rest days.

As far as supersets, you can incorporate these with your workouts as they can help you increase your heartrate. Keep your rest periods shorter. Doing this will turn your weight training session into a partly aerobic one.

Good luck!

rpacheco is right on this one. I think I read something about Antonio Sabato Jr. (Don't laugh) and he was going through his routine. He doesn't do any cardio, he just doesn't stop working out. It's pretty hardcore to do, though. I have not been able to go through an entire workout and not take a rest period. It doesn't really fit in to what I'm trying to do now anyway, but I would try it, I think if you focus on keeping workouts aerobic, it might prove to be beneficial. BB1fit also posted a cardio question topic, not definitely sure on what post, but it has a sticky. You should check it out.
