Hey guys, I'm desperate to gain weight but if I also work out I LOSE weight immediately. I'm sure if I stuck with it I'd be gaining muscle weight, but I can't afford to lose ANY weight right now (5'4", 37 yrs old, 110lbs) so I'd rather pack some on then get into a routine to build with.

Any suggestions for the most effective, healthist ways to gain (FAST!) WITHOUT having to drink a gallon of weight gainer drinks a day -- small guy, small stomach.

I've started with working hard to increase my diet and am drinking as many Ensure+ (350 calories each) as I can, including waking myself up during the night to drink them.

Any thoughts about(and ways) of slowing my metabolism (Dr promised it would slow down as I aged-- no such luck)

Other suppliments, diet ideas? ANY suggestions?

Thanks!

How many calories do you eat per day? What kind of food?

I have a sporadic meal schedule and have never really counted calories, so am open to suggestions. I've always stayed away from eating a lot of red meat pretty much sticking to chicken. Try to get in a lot of rice, potatoes, breads, salad.

Seems hard to eat HEALTHY and get a lot of calories (??)
