I just had a quick question for anybody. How many exercises and sets is too much or too little for any workout? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If your new to weights then 2-3 excersises per muscle group. You should be looking at around 2 sets of 12 reps at a light/medium weight, make sure you have the right form.

I like to think I'm at leas intermediate. I do about 5 sets of primary, whatever I happen to be working out that day, and then I'll do a couple sets of whatever else, like if I'm doing back, for example, I might throw in some abs, or triceps. 7 sets total, then some cardio for good measure.

I usualy do between 3-4 exercises and do 3-5 sets for each. I do 5 for things like bench deadlifts squats. I do 3-4 for smaller muscles. I have been lifting for a long time though and this is what works for me....

As a general Guide I do 3 exercises per BP, and 3 sets (1 warm up, and 3 working sets). I go heavy and aim for 6-8 reps a set. I may start to add in another set on my next 8 week cycle.
