Hello,
I'm about to finish up on my FT's 8 week gaining muscle mass program with lifting 5 days a week with working on one group of muscles per day. I just glanced over at the arnold scwartenegger's bodybuilding book, and one of his program is a 3 day split workout and the other is a 2 day split workout. I always thought it was better to just focus on one part of muscle a week and give plenty of rest. But, if arnold says to do a 3 day split, i'm willing to try it even though his book is pretty old now. So, which method is preferred? I've been lifting seriously for about 2 years, and i'm pretty serious about lifting.

Unless you take steroids, I wouldn't worry about what that part of the book says. Stick to resting the body part.

I just take whey protein, glutamine, and creatine in cycles. So, I shouldn't follow any of the routines in that book b/c it will break down my body from too much lifting? I guess most of the guys pictured in that book took steroids.
