hi all,
I have been browsing the forum and found general agreement that a cardio session before a work out is not the best way to go.
Now, i ride home from work then get straight into some home based weight training. I am wondering if maybe this is a bad idea. The ride takes around 40mins and is relatively moderate in intensity but not exhausting, would this be considered a cardio session, and therefore is it advisable to not jump straight into sets and reps??
lemme know wot you think..thanks

Cardio AFTER weights ol_duggie
Quoting from a BB1fit's post:
"By doing cardio before weights you are simply reducing the amount of glycogen available that could have been used more effectively to fuel your muscles throughout the weight training session...This point cannot be stressed enough."
And to your other question, you were riding a bike I assume? Anyway, it would indeed be considered cardio. If you wanted more intensity, you could always push yourself, give yourself little challenges such as 35 minutes to reach home instead of 35, stuff like that. But again, I would try and workout Before the cardio session.
PS: Good photoshop work. To make Charlie speechless is a feat in itself :laugh:
