Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I just ran across this site earlier tonight and thought it could be some help. I have never worked out at all, and I am trying to gain weight as well as muscle mass. A few people have offerd me the shortcut to it, but I prefer the natural way.At the moment, all I have is a typical weight bench that inclines, declines, with leg and preacher curl attachments. I have about 250lbs in cast iron weights with an 45lb bar and 25lb curl bar, is this enough or should I have more? As far as I know I eat right, and just started taking GNC weight gainer 1850, because I have a really high metabalism. Should I eat then work out or vise-versa? Should I drink my shakes before or after working out? Any help someone could offer would be greatly apprceciated.

JSHEPP, welcome to ft!

Good for you for choosing to remain natural, it is better for your health in the long run.

As long as you have enough weight to challenge your muscles, you have enough equipment.

You should eat at least an hour before working out and a shake post-workout is very beneficial.
For more info on this, check the nutrition and supplement forums, there are many posts about pre and post-workout nutrition.

Stick around and learn all you can!
