This is why samoans are the strongest people on the planet:
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, at the age of 14, was 6'2, 240 lbs, and could bench 420 lbs. |

Hate to disagree, but when was the last time a Samoan has won a World's Strongest Man Comp. I think never, a few have competed but have never won. Eastern Europeans are without a doubt much stronger, such as the current WSM who is from Poland, Mariuz Pudianowski.

Just wondering, when was the last time you even SAW a Samoan competeing in the Worlds Strongest Man comp? I only remember the Indian Chief, but no Samoans. Personally I think they are a great people, and naturally have a ton of strength, and I think the Rock is doing very well for himself. Just my 2 cents!

"I put 135 pounds on the bar, tried to bench-press it, and it pinned me." -Quoting Dwayne Johnson, age 13, from Men's Health Magazine. That would mean that he had a 285 pound gain in bench press in one year. He is right, the samoan people ARE the strongest people. That is really impressive.-------------- Listen to the Deftones |

main land eastern europeans are by far the strongest group, and they are getting taller all the time, which is something which is needed to get to the top of strong man. -------------- todays post was bought to you by the letter A. \"you\'ve got balls of big steel\" A.D.F. |

I was watching tv one night and they had a bio on his life where they mentioned the afor mentioned stats. His father was a great wrestler and they moved around a lot. He was raised for a while in Hawaii and then moved to the mainland. While there, he went out for football and the coach was stunned because he looked as if he was 21.
As for Samoans, you also must realize that the country of Western Samoa only has 180,000 people. That is 1/3 the population of the state of Wyoming. How many people from Wyoming have you ever seen compete? the fact that you have seen ANY samoans compete is a testament to their strength. The country of Samoa is also one of the poorest nations in the world and does not have training facilities like Europe. |

Umm, most of the big bodybuilders and lifters from 'Europe' are coming out of poverty stricken eastern european countries, they often come from facilities with the bare minimum of equipment and will do nearly anything to succeed and make it to America.
Just my two cents. -------------- If you fall down seven times, get up eight. I\'m not lazy, I\'m energetically challenged. |

Who else did I say was on steriods? hec? I only said big pappa pump no one else, nor did I say any other wresler was on steriods......show me where I said all wreslters where on steriods........I'm sorry any one that watches wrestling, any one who can go back to the WCW era and see him and his brother wrestle( the guy that wore the wrestling head gear) can see a big differance, yes theres a time span differance, but theres no way he is all natural. He's big an a freak I give him that.

I know a guy who graduated from my school last year who as a freshman in high school could bench over 500 pounds. His name's Josh Ward and he's crazy strong-------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. I think the rock is wicked strong, and he looks good too. But by looking at him, i dont even think he could bench 420 even right now, i mean, hes not THAT jacked. Hes not a bodybuilder. He looks like he could probably do 320 or something. THats just my guess tho.

I may be wrong tho, maybe he can do 420, who knows. I'd definitely like to find out.
