Hi everyone. I found this site last week and started a fitness plan on Monday. I have never really exercised a lot and as I am about 20 lbs. overweight thought I better start. I am often tired and just don't have any energy. Monday I worked out at night (after work) and I could feel my muscles burning on Tuesday. Today (Weds.) I worked out in the morning, before work, and I can really tell the difference. I have so much energy today! I think I'm going to start getting up early to work out every day. I do have a question though. This morning I got up and immediately started exercising. Is it better to eat first, or work out and then eat?

That is a much debated issue here.... although I think most people suggest eating something before exercising... wait about an hour and then hit the weights... bb1 has posted a great couple of topics with stickies in the various boards, check 'em out and you'll get some answers!

Welcome to FT!
