I am looking into switching from the shot to the patch for numerous reasons but I am posting this to see if anyone has done this before and how it affected you, mood swings, cravings, cramping and bloating, even <blush> sex drive (something I've lost since being on the shot).

I've posted before that I did not like depo at all, gained weight like crazy and was very ornery.
Loved the patch, minimal weight gain and all in the breasts for some reason. Reduced mood swings cramping and bloating.. sometimes I barely knew I was PMSing.
Unfortunately it did trigger Migraine headaches for me as have all estrogen products I have tried, so after going without for a while now I am starting the Progesterone only pill this month.

I am on the patch now and it is awesome. The only side effect I have seen is breast growth (which I needed)and a reduction in cramps (also positive). I did the shots a few years ago. I didn't gain weight but I got mean, crampy, frigid and toward the end I started spotting. I quit the shots and continued spotting almost daily for a year, it was awful.

Hi,
I had to stop using the patch. I would get a rash wherever I put it. If I didn't get rashes I would still be on it. It worked great other than that. :(

Holy Hot Flashes Batman! hehe j/k. . . I did the switch and the difference was noticable the first week, I feel more like "Me" more like a woman, I already have my sex drive back and my hormones are acting more like "normal" if there is such a thing  Anyways, along with that comes the obvious mood swings, abdominal cramps, spotting, and breast tenderness. . . nothing that is too horrible or unbearable though. . . for those of you who are still thinking about it, I'll keep you posted as things progress on how the transition goes. . . going into week 3 right now and <shiver> no patch next week. . . wish me luck. . . make that wish Relique luck. . . he has a 22 hour car ride to do with me next week <grins evilly>

Pretty soon it will be a year that I've been using the patch. I love not having to remember to take a pill or having to eat enough food when taking it not to get nauseous. The cramping might be a little worse than I recall with the pill, but it's bearable.
Congrats on liking the switch and regaining so much of 'you'. That's awesome!!
