i was working out bench pressing an i decided to lift more then i regulary do an then afterwards my arm started hurting an when i relexed my muscle i could see a rip on the top of my left bicep how long will it take to heal an is this a bad thing?

I have to admit that I am not sure how you ripped your biceps doing the bench press, and so it may just be an anomoly in your physique. However, if you do think you ripped it, I would probably go to my physician and ask them to look at it. To answer you question though, an actual rip in muscle (usually at a tendon) does take a while to heal, and you should not work it until you have it checked.

this the skin or actuall muscle?.......if its themuscle, and it did rip it weither in the bicep or tendon, theres gona be some surgery to reattach it.....and you do need to see a doc.......hwo did you tear it or rip it in a bench press?

well its better now i guess i just ripped my muscle alittle all better an im feeling good thanks for the support bye
