Hey all.

I'm currently 16 years old, am about 5'9, and weight between 125 and 130lbs(on good days:surprised:).

This upcoming summer, starting in June and stretching through August, I will be on a weight training program, calisthenic program, and an isometric program.

No matter what I do, I eat and eat and eat ... I still can't gain weight. I do live an active lifestyle, still taking physical education every day and playing competitive hockey and baseball. I guess that's part of my problem. So this summer, I'd like to change that, and pack on a few extra pounds.

I have always been against, well not against ... let's call it not being "completely sold" on weight gain supplements. But I've been doing some research and have learned some things that kind of "sold" me on them. I am currently looking at Interactive Nutrition's Mammoth 2500 weight gain supplement. I would be purchasing 15lbs (a 10lb and 5lb tub) to take during July and August. http://www.interactivenutrition.com/products/mammoth2500.php The aforementioned link is a direct one to the product.

I would like any and all opinions on this product, and whether I have my head screwed on straight for this summer or not. It will be busy, intense, and full of training. I know my limits and will not over-do it:)

I do have a few specific questions, though.

The supplement says that it should be taken 1-3 times daily. I think if I took it 3 times daily, I'd explode. The serving size is rather large. I was planning on taking one serving before bed every night, and one after my workout that will occur 4-5 times per week. Does this sound about right? And is it ok, on a non-workout day, for me to take half of a serving (2 scoops) after say a run, and then the other 2 scoops right before bed, or does this totally defeat the purpose?

After I go off of these supplements, I am hoping that my metabolic rate will be "changed". I was told that it takes about 30 days to do this. So, after I am finished with the supplements, I will try my best to eat lots and keep up the calories, etc ... but will I loose weight as I start playing hockey again?

I know this question is extremely hard to answer, and I'm sure you guys hate when people ask it ... but what do you a realistic gain for me would be? I'm guessing and shooting for around 10+lbs, at least ... over the course of three months(two months supplemented with the Mammoth 2500).

Thanks for any help. I am sorry I wrote kind of a novel here, but I'm just trying to learn so I don't make mistakes, get the best out of my extremely busy summer, and don't waste my money on the supplements.

Warmest regards,
- Steve

Oh, I forgot ... sorry if this is in the wrong board. I thought it would make sense here. But then I just seen the supplement board :( Again, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Warmest regards,
