For breakfast, I usually eat 2 eggs with ham in between, an apple, and a piece of bread with peanut butter.
Is this too much?
I eat breakfast typically between 7-8:30 am.
what do you think?
Thanks!!

I'd get rid of the ham. What kind of bread? What kind of peanut butter? I just eat oatmeal. It's fast, easy, and when I put a half scoop of my protein in (after it has cooled, of course) it is pretty high in protein.

12 grain bread and natural peanut butter.
My biggest question is: am I eating too many calories for breakfast? With what I eat now, I am having about a 650 calorie breakfast.
P.S. What's wrong with the ham? It's protein isn't it?
Thanks!

yea, but pork products are not the best for you. I have heard that it is very high in fat and stuff like that. My hypothesis on the subject is; take for example, a hamburger at Burger King. It is flame-broiled, not fried, and has fresh ingredients, blah blah blah, and it is still not good for you. I think it is because in order for them to give you a bottom-line price, they must purchase bottom-line meat. Very high in fat and stuff that would normally be given to hotdog mnfg, or dog food companys. But they still have protein, though. You see what I mean? I may not be dead-on accurate, but this is my hypothesis. I resist a great deal to call it a theory, but it is not.

Pork is usually quite Fatty, and Salty.
You can get some leaner Cuts of pork, but Ham would be quite Salty and Fatty.

What if I use thinly sliced deli ham?

I like lean turkey ham, but it is still full of salt and nitrates, so I usually have it as a 'cheat'. Deli ham is still going to be salty and have nitrates in it - not the best choice health-wise and not a really great deal for the quality of protein.
You could have lean ground turkey or extra lean ground beef, or more egg whites mixed in with the two eggs, scrambled. Add some salsa and mmm!
