This post comes up atleast once a week. So, I'll give you the skinny (pun intended). You want abs, it's simple make a 100% effort to watch every single calorie you take in, Abs are all about body fat. even someone who weight 400 lbs has abs hidden under there somewhere but without a bodyfat percentage of 10% or less you'll never see em, no matter how many leglifts, situps, crunches, sidebends etc etc etc you do. There "NO SUCH THING" as spot reduction. Weight loss is a full body thing, it does not apply to one section.
On the other hand, take someone who goes on a starvation diet or a crack addict. These guys get super skinny, but, take a look at thier midsection.... what do you see? Thats right, flab..... just a smaller fat person.
Exercise is 10% of nice looking abs, but diet accounts for the other 90%.
-------------- If your muscle wont allow you to do the last few reps, make your mind and heart do it. Your muscles will thank them later.
