I have been working out consistently 3 times a week for about 3 months now. I run a mile before I work out, then I hit the machines. I do leg presses, leg curls (hamstring and quadraceps both), calve raises, biceps, triceps, hip and thigh abductors (both inside and out), sit ups and a few other things. My main target is the cellulite on my thighs. I am only 20 years old and have had the crud on my thighs since puberty. I weight 110 pounds and am 5'4. I have been seeing results, but they are slow. I just want to make sure that I am going about this the right way. For some reason I thought that I would see drastic results by the 3 month marker. Please help...
Thanks, Kelly p.s. I eat relatively healthy...3 meals a day...avoid fast food. |

do your running after your weights, or on days when you are not doing weights - weights done after cardio are not as effective
Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day to keep your metaolism up Be patient :) |

Ne? Your post caught my eye, princesslodgey, sorry for cutting in, but I thought you were supposed to do aerobics and cardio before weights for maximum benifits- or both at the same time??? How come running isn't as good before?

I leaarned this the hard way. *nods* I used to do about an hour of cardio BEFORE I hit the weights, and by the end of 1 set, I'm tired and it's a continual struggle to finish every routine at the top of your form. And since you need lean muscle tissue to generate a furnace for fat, not doing your best on the weights is going to be detrimental in the long run. So. If you do the weights first, follow it up with cardio some time after you've recovered, you'll keep your metabolism humming enough to burn that extra fat. And yes. it does work, I'm losing inches because of it. weeeeeeeeeeee...and couldn't be happier:dumbbell:-------------- The best victories are won not by adversity and brute force. Yes, look up bbfits post about cardio - it is a sticky in one of the other forums, it explains why you want to lift first, cardio after.

get consistent with your diet (and your meds) and , though it is usually the last thing to go, the problem spots will eventually look better.
I warn my clients when we start that their fat will look worse as it goes away, it gets soupy and jiggly and your cellulite looks worse, too. Don't despair, or blame your trainer, it will get better. -------------- \"Inscribe this on the charm that dangles from your navel, girls.
