i currently play for a soccer team and need to get into shape, well i need to improve my fitness. i am planning on doing regular cardio to increase my fitness levels.

i was wondering what would be better fitness wise;

- running 6 times a week
- running 3 times a week

by running 6 times a week will my fitness levels be dramatically better than if i just ran 3 times a week?

if anyone understands please reply, lol. ps. this may sound a bit of stupid question.

Soccer doesn't involve continuos running. Improve your soccer game by training for soccer.
Run sprints, intervals, stop and gos, side to side drills, speed and agility drills. Plyometrics.

Run 3 times a week, if that is your favorite form of cardio, but otherwise, spend the rest of your time training for your sport.
