So I woke up this morning only to find a note from my wife waiting for me on the kitchen table:

Good morning my love.. here is a list of things for you to do today. (DAMN AND I WAS PLANNING ON DOING NOTHING)

1. Finish up the last bit of laundry, you will have to run the load in the dryer again to de-wrinkle it probably and if you want, we will put it together when I get home. (WHAT I REALLY WANT IS TO LAY ON THE COUCH)

2. Clean the upstairs bathroom: (everything you need is in the cleaning bucket)

- windex mirror and all chrome fixtures (toilet paper holder too)
- clean countertops and toilet (wipe all the urine off the base and the sides too) YES PEOPLE I WIPED URINE
-wipe off al the shleves and deco stuff (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT DECO IS, SO I WIPED EVERYTHING)
-sweep
-mop
-spray the fabric refresher on the rugs and the shower curtains
-put a small white trash bag in the trash can
-change out the shower head (instructions are with it on the counter)

3. Dust room upstairs and vacuum...the new vac has an arm attachment so you can get behind the bed in your lair (MY MAN CAVE) and the boys room too.

4. Vacuum downstairs

5. Sweep and take out the trash in the basement

6. Have the boys turn all the socks in the basket right side out

7. Have boys clean out front closet

HERE IS THE KICKER:

If you run out of things to do, you can clean the shed and get it organized so we can plan some yard work back there.

SHE WILL BE COMING HOME SOON TO INSPECT. I HOPE I PASS. PRAY FOR ME, SHE IS EVIL.

ummm...put the note under the table, when she comes home and asks you about the note, just look blankly at her and say "what note my love?"
Or just spill juice on it and tell her it was ruined before you could read it. You could leave the spill for her and let her know that you figured she would be cleaning today anyway since the place is such a mess.

i feel ya hec. today i have to pack everything that i need to move to houston from ft. worth into my tahoe (yes, i don't even get the luxury of a u-haul) so i can leave tomorrow morning, move in tomorrow afternoon, and start work at 8:30 a.m. the next day.

all this after a grueling 2-week workshop in which i only got to lift twice and never got more than 6 hours of sleep on a mattress that must've been fashioned from cement tiles.

so yes, happy saturday indeed to everyone who needs a rest but isn't going to get one. and good luck with the inspection hec.

Happy Saturday to you too! It sounds like your lovely wife has organized a very productive morning for you. Aren't you lucky to have someone who cares enough about you to make sure that you are not bored. On the other hand, your list sucks but you have no choice except to do it or face the consequences.

Howdiekat, your weekend sounds terrible. Are you going to be okay? Do we need to send Hec over to help you when his chores are done?

My husband is at work while I am home doing the household duties today, again. I'm sorry Hec that your fantasies of couch exercise and nothingness turned sour. My husband would definately do what fsdsk suggested, he doesn't respond well to lists, he would just pack up his fishing gear and leave me a little "note", so you are such a darling to actually even reading the list! I admire you, truly, and your wife for her ability to believe in you, that you will accompish all given tasks to the very best of your abilities!

Sounds like you have a very busy weekend ahead, Howdiekat, hang in there and good luck on your move, you should get plenty of workout lifting boxes and such if that is any consolation???

That list is brutal. I don't think I could accomplish such tasks if given a week, or month, but you only get one day!?! Good advice, fsdsk. That would take a huge toll on your conscience all day to sit and know that you have that list, and choose to do nothing about it. I think I could pull it off, though. Given the right circumstances. The lakers don't play 'til tomorrow though.

Just got back. Hec, if you can cook and sew, I'll marry you. You would make a fine wife.

Tex I'm surprised you asked that question. Those tatoos wouldn't show if Hec wore the tux. Think man, THINK.

Wow, i must have gone braindead. I also didn't take the freedom of naked squatting hec wouldn't want to lose by cramming himself into pants.

Hec, i believe charlie's being quite sincere in leaving the seat up...how else would the pee drain off? You know those navy boys...

As I left a mens room once without washing my hands this guy rudely told me "in the marines they taught us to wash our hands after we use the bathroom". I turned around and politely explained that in the navy they taught us to not pee all over our hands.

Hec, that wasn't aimed at you my brother. The mind wanders and remembers these useless trivial things as we age.

Not bad David. I didn't wanna embarrass Tex by telling him it happened before he was born. I love seeing if he can get both feet in his mouth at the same time.

Charlie, i've tried numerous times to put both feet in my mouth...oddly enough they reach, but can't always fit in.

Oh well, i shall keep on trying...one of these days i'm bound to get it with charlie's help.

I can easily get both my feet in my mouth. The challenge is getting them back out gracefully.

My wife can hook both feet behind her ears.

Yeah, i can do the whole legs behind the head thing...but lemme tell ya, its about as loverly lookin' as hec in naked squat mode...not that i'm bashing that or anything

If julienne can get both feet in her mouth, maybe i can too. Is it my form? do you do side by side or left over right (or vice versa)...there's a whole lot of questions that i must ask myself now. how bad do i want to reach my goal? would hec or charlie be willing to spot me so that i can master the double foot in mouth?
