Well, dropped the oldest off at the airport today for his trip to California, leaving me with the youngest in all his glory.
We have bonded over checkers, his own personal version of chess, animal planet and a huge chocolate brownie ice cream from the place up the street.
I wonder if the youngest child or any child born after their siblings really even notice not having their parents all to themselves since they never really get the opportunity from the git. It never occurred to me when I was a child, so I am curious to see if it did to anybody else.

I have three children and they love time alone with me and despise whoever is getting it.
You want chocolate cake for breakfast? Ooookie dokie...
Let's buy something for me that will make the other kids jealous when they get home. Ooookie dokie....
I love animal planet. And Sponge Bob. He lives in a pineapple under the sea you know.

Yes, interesting character...but he is only a distant second to Ed, Ed, and Eddie for that matter.
Joshua wonders today why wild dog Mommys would leave their pups alone to go and hunt food. I just wonder why spongebob decided to live in a pineapple.

Ooh! I love Ed, Ed, and Eddie!
Tell Joshua it's because the puppyysitter was unavailable. I don't know why spongebob decided to live in a pineapple or under the sea for that matter. It may have had something to do with the unavailability of clarinets, but that could all be just a rumor. Wouldn't you think he would live in a jar under the sink?
More stuff that makes you go hmmm....

I am 19...the baby in my family (immediate family). I always loved alone time with mom, but it was also on a whenever basis. I never noticed not having my parents all to myself, but i'd love whatever i could get. It was the same with both parents.
I still enjoy my time with my momma every now and then. Just the other day we stayed up till three in the morning sitting on my bed talking about everything. Last monday dad and i went to see a baseball game and shoot the sh**. It was so much fun... This weekend i think we're headed to the lakehouse to fish and jetski some.
I know they're happy i'm growin up, but i can feel that they are sad in some ways that i'm off on my own soon enough.

I hate those shows. I hate the songs even more. Aqua teen hunger force, now that's a good show. The shakezoola, the mic rula.

My girls love to go on dates with dad. One has a favorite coffee shop that makes her a hot cocco with extra whip cream. She says that I can't go there with anyone but her.

I had my 3 five years apart so they all think they are 'only' children. Each of them has asked me at some point why I had those other 2....lol. So my oldest had me to herself the first 5 years and then she was in school by the time my son came along so he had a lot of alone time with me, and now the youngest has me all the time. With my husband gone he probably spends more time with me than he normally would, to keep me company.
