I use on's 100% whey protein I use 1 scoop at a time sometimes 1 1/2 I mix it with orange juice, blueberries, and strawberries and make a shake with it. Is this bad I was just reading some forums that said only use water. I tried it with just water it tastes like asshole, lol. But if I have to I will what should I do.

deja vu. The water mix is for directly after workout. You can mix it with stuff to make a shake, but this should be as a meal-replacement.

If I am worried about building muscle wouldnt it be better 4 me to eat as much as I can. Not replace a meal with a drink?

Hi David1201086, there's nothing wrong with having MRPs instead of having a normal meal...

If your goal is to build muscle you should create a positive caloric intake (does this even make sense in english?) meaning you should eat more than what you burn during your day.... try eating more protein and good carbs for that instance and increasing your daily caloric intake by 500 cals to begin with...

If you eat as much as you can you might be increasing your caloric intake too, but you will be increasing it with fats, sugars, etc. MRPs can help you avoid this, and also you can take them whenever you want if you are in a hurry.

Look under the Diets & Nutrition Forum for "Grocery List for a Bodybuilder" by BB1fit, its a sticky post, that might give you a pretty good idea on what to eat.

Hope this helps

yes, thanks, burrocfh, that makes sense. I wasn't saying that you definitely SHOULD drink the protein as a meal-replacement, I was just saying that drinking a protein shake any other way than with water is bad post-workout because your body won't absorb it as fast. To put it in BB1's terms, a golden opportunity when the body is at a metabolic peak, I think, don't quote me on that.
