I see "bump" written as replies to quite a few postings, can anyone tell me what it means?

Does it mean I am a bump on a log or something?:laugh:

Maybe it's just a way to end a thread.

Any answers?

Whenever something new is posted on a thread, it moves to the top of the list. "Bumping" is a way to get it back up to the top again so that people new to the boards will come across it more readily.
