depends on what your doing......and mon, wed ,friday work out to me is pleanty of rest, I do that when i am "in season" If you feel burnt out, or your in a rut, and your strength is going done or stuck at a say bench press of 200lbs.......take some time off, you'll be so ready to work out, you'll be busting the doors down ready to do it.

Well here is my problem I'm benching 165 for reps have been for like 3-4 weeks, my 1 rep max is 193. So my idea is go to a 4 day a week program Mon-chest, back Tue-arms Wed-chest back Thur- arms. I thinking I have been doing a 3 day aweek program for a yr I need some change. Ok one question is a 130 pounder benching 193 good?
thanxs for all of your time!!

If you are 130lbs, then benching 193lbs is very good. What are some of your goals? Are you trying to gain mass or just strengthen? This makes a big difference in how you should step up your workout. You certainly do not need to workout chest back to back Monday and Wednesday if you are trying to gain mass. You need to give each large muscle in your body a good deal of recovery time. I usually take the day off after a good chest workout. I've used a 6 day split doing all body parts 3 times a week for 2 weeks as a method of shocking, but I regularly do a 4/5 day split working each body part once per week to gain mass.
