For mass on the shoulders you need to remeber that it is not one muscle like say chest or biceps but rather 3 different heads..I like barbell presses/dumbbell press to the front as my main stay. I also like shrugs and laterals as well. But for overall developmetn I say anytype of pressing movement.

If we're talking compound movements, I have to say the clean and press. It wont build mass the same way a typical press done slowly does, but it will defianetely build power and strength.

arnold presses...........works rotator cuff.....front and side heads.....maybe even a lil of the rear delt.

I will have to try and see what one I like best...Im trying to get rid of the overhead press, I hate that damn exercise.

I've been using a reverse seated shoulder press wi good effect, humerus abducts in this movement so my shoulder doesn't hurt doing this.Balance is crap until you adjust though.Using a German 10x10 routine and the pump is painful!
