I was strolling through the aisles at walmart today and I found this pizza dough for 68 cents. It had 130 calories in 1/8 of the dough and it makes 8 pieces. 1 gram of fat and no saturated fat along w/ 5 grams of protein per slice....Now I dont like cheese or pepperoni so I just eat it w/ sauce and the sauce has 30 calories per 1/4 cup...2 slices equal 290 calories...Not a whole lot but I've only consumed about 500 calories so far today :)...This is great...Ignore this thread but give it a try if you cant resist.

Yeah. A lot of places have been marketimng low varb low fat pizza. its not bad, but you never can tell if it truly is low carb. I think they just learned that the Atkins wrap sandwiches at Subways, labeled low carb, weren't. MAybe it wasn't Subway, but there is a lot of phony advertising going on. How they can get away with that I don't know.

I will never fall into the low carb hype...This is just regular pizza dough/sauce nothing special

vedakathryn-Go for it, they should enjoy it, I made it half cheese and half just sauce and everyone in my house ate the sauce and left the cheese :)...Very taste and about 140 calories a piece isnt to bad...Good size pieces as well

Why not put chicken on it? Cook up some chicken breast, dice it up with some green pepper and onions and there you have it: A full-fledged pizza... Minus cheese.

I use the pizza dough every week. I dont care if its low carb or not though, you need carbs in your diet, dont let anyone tell you different. anyways, I use pizza dough, ragu pizza sauce, low fat part skim mozzeralla cheese, sauteed mushrooms in olive oil spray, and sauteed spinach with garlic.. i put that on the pizza and it comes out great. I have also tired chicken and sundried tomatoes on it and it came out fabulous.

YOu can also make a low fat calzone with that pizza dough, by using grilled chicken, shredded mozzarella , and chopped fresh spinach, and minced garlic, as the filling for the calzone. I did that a few weeks ago.
