Are any of you familiar with Nutralite vitamins? They are sold through Amway/Quixtar. I take the Double X vitamins. You are supposed to take two sets per day, but due to their cost, I only take one set per day. I also add the Omega-3??? (fish oil) and a vegetable supplement each day. These are either Nutralite or Ocean Essentials.

If you are honestly familiar with this brand and these vitamins, please let me know your opinions on them. They give me lots of energy (Tons of B12, like 1500 mg, I think) and turn my pee weird orangey colors. I love them when I go one bike rides of 50-100 miles. I take two or three sets depending on the legth of the ride. Any concerns about this?

Thanks,

I used to do "The Plan", The nutralite vitamins are good, but you can get the samething at a lower cost elsewhere.

I used to do "The Plan" also, now I just use the SA8, LOC, Satinique, Dishwasher stuff, and (adult and kid) Vitamins.

So which other ones elsewhere are just as good? I haven't found any yet. My wife swirched to the Daily Multi-vitamins to save a few bucks, but she's also not as fit or active as I am.

The reason your pee turns orange as you state is simply B vitamins, namely Riboflavin. Any good B complex will do this. I am partial myself to "whole food" type multis. They are actually derived from whole foods. Living multi is an example I use.

"Whole food vitamins are obtained by taking a vitamin-rich plant, removing the water and the fiber in a cold vacuum process, free of chemicals, and then packaging for stability. The entire vitamin complex in this way can be captured intact, retaining its "functional and nutritional integrity. "Vitamins are just like other food factors: they exist as extremely complex groups of associated substances of a synergistic (cooperative) nature, and that if the complex is taken apart (fractionated), it is no longer capable of producing its normal, nutritional and metabolic effect or function."

Thanks, BB1. If I can scan the ingredients list, can I email it to you and get your opinion on it specifically?
