Hey everybody, I've been doing the FIRM for about a year, I started out with Vollume one (and stuck with it for a pretty long time, cause it was the only one I had) and I personally think it's the best workout series out there, though everyone thinks it's lame cause it's from the 70's or something (i like it, i think it's cute! ^_^),has anyone here tried it or is still doing it? I'd like to hear about anyone who got results, also, anyone like FIT TV? What's the best show to workout too? Thank you!

My girlfriend is soo tempted to buy it and insists it will help her, But I just handed her a jump rope...Im sure it will work but why waste the money when you will get benefits from other forms that are not so costly.....

Well, sure jumproping is an excellent form of cardio, but the FIRM combines weight training with aerobics for maximum benifits, i also teaches you how to do lots of different kinds of things that shape certain areas of your body, I know you can find out how to do each of them just by going online, and I guess you're right, considering that if you have the firm, you also need dumbells, the fanny lifter, and maybe a dowell for certain vids, but I think it's a pretty good series.

Im old school, I dont like those wacky programs although I will give them credit, I still think pilates is a joke even though some people swear from them....

I want to buy the firm, but I haven't yet. I got the Windsor Pilates DVD and I am starting to do it. I used to be a ballet dancer at 5'7 and 127 pounds at my thinnest. I'm now about 154 pounds with a lot more muscle, but still fat to deal with and pilates does work. It would have been a joke when I was still a ballet dancer, but I'm out of shape now so things are hard. Hopefully, I'll be back in tip top shape one day soon...

We bought the Pilates DVD set a year or so ago. I was in pretty good shape, but it still tore up my abs. My cardio and legs were fine from cycling, but my abs were sooooo weak.
Find what works for you and go with it.

I bought THe FIRM about two years ago. It was the newer version, but after I used it for some time, I got on EBAY and bought the older tapes too. They were awesome at getting me motivated and exercising. I went from total couch potato to workout queen and lost 50 lbs. I able to get into the Gym now, where I know I would not have done it before. More than losing weight, I gained confidence, motivation and an interest in my health. :)

I have never done anything with the firm but I used to teach aerobics and I would actually pull a lot of my inspiration from fit tv. If nothing else it actually seemed to pump me up to go to the gym and it's tv that makes you want to get up and move instead of pop some more popcorn. I personally loved Sharron Mann she hardly ever had the same thing on twice.Cathy friedrick was my second favorite she could really pack a hard workout into a small time frame. Gilads bodies in motion had some good toning moves but I found his cardio a little dated, but still ok. Caribean workout had some cool step moves but eyerything else was pretty ordinary. they all are only 30 min segments with comercials so I would usually pick 2 or 3 to do a day for 5 days.:dumbbell:good luck to you and by the way the absolute best workout is the one you will stick with!
