I have heard grape juice. I use a creatine that is inexpensive and has its own delivery system and tastes great. If you interested im me. I don't have the stuff with me today.

Saw your other post and couldn't answer the Q. You don't need to use grape juice if you use the malto dextrine. I have used grape or natural applejuice when I was out of the malto. These are pretty fine points though. Rest diet and proper workout will get you where you want to go. I don't think whatyou mix it with affects ceatine absorption. Be sure you use a micronized creatine with the creapure lable.

What I want to know basically is which of the two raises more your bodies insulin levels. (Since I've heard that for better creatine absorption insulin levels should be high when consuming it)

The concept of insulin levels needing to be high to ingest creatine has to do with the SPEED at which creatine is processed. It is a cumulative process, so what's the hurry?
Unless you are on the way to the gym and haven't yet gotten your creatine for the day, the speed at which it is delivered is pretty much irrelevant. What you should do is take creative monohydrate with WATER, skip the carb calories from fruit juice, and you'll be good to go.

This is absolutely true with the loading phase. You do not want that many insulin spikes, will hurt your insulin sensitivity. However, post workout is a completely different scenario, and simple sugars should be used here. Dextrose is the fastest and will give you a quick insulin spike. Better yet, the combo of dextrose and maltodextrin is even better, both for protein uptake and creatine and glutamine uptake post workout. Fruit juices contain too much fructose, and are not optimal at this time except in a pinch. (fructose uses a non insulin dependent pathway, and tops off liver glycogen...post workout this is not what you want) you want all metabolic pathways leading toward muscle glycogen uptake. Also do not mix your creatine with your drink, it is unstable in a fluid. Take your creatine on the side about 20 minutes into your post workout shake, you should have high levels of circulating serum insulin by then for maximal uptake.
