What to eat, before after working out?

I have a lot of food allergies (ie. dairy, citrus and modified sugars) and it is for that reason I cannot take supplements to help me before and after my workouts. What are good natural food to eat to help you body perform better?

Before your workout you need some carbs and protein. A meal of lean protein like chicken or fish, black beans, a little brown rice and some vegetables would be good to fuel your workout.

Afetr your workout you could try oatmeal, some raisins and scrambled egg with extra egg whites.
