For those of you who have an email address here at FT, please be aware of the following hoax :

No 2c Agric Avenue
Victoria Inland
Johanesbough
South Africa.

(MONEY TRANSACTION)
My name is Mr.Frank Lee and I work in the
International operation department in a Local Bank
here in South Africa. On a routine inspection I
discovered a dormant domiciliary account with a BAL.
Of 36,000,000 (Thirty Six Million USD) on further
discreet investigation, I also discovered that the
account holder has long since passed away (dead)
leaving no beneficiary to the account.
The bank will approve this money to any foreigner
because the former operator of the a/c is a foreigner
and from Iraq in particular and I am certainly sure
that he is dead, and nobody will come again for the
claim of this money A foreigner can only claim this
money with legal claims to the account Holder;
therefore I need your cooperation in this transaction.

I will provide the necessary information needed in
order to claim this money, But you will need to open
an account where this can be transfered. If interested
send your private Telephone And Fax
numbers including full details of the account to be
used for the Deposit I wish for utmost confidentiality
in handling this transaction as my job and the future
of my family would be jeopardized if it were breached.

I want to assure you that the transaction is without
risk if due process is followed accordingly. Finally,
I will give you 25% for your corporation. I look
forward to a favourable response from you through this
my private e-mail adrress: <nally_lee_frank@yahoo.com>

Yours,
Frank Lee .

that sounds like a sweet deal. 9 million for just opening an account. He's got a lot of trust, what if I just kept all the money for myself?

Oh boy! Is there really people out there that fall for this stuff? I just got one for a horse I was selling, an individual wanted me to give them all my information so they could money order a large payment and have the horse shipped overseas - she was a Tennessee Spotted Walker, not dipped in gold! Unbelievable what people will come up with!

I took a class for my Master's in Education last summer that told us about those hoaxes from South Africa. It's amazing how many people fall for stuff like that though. Thanks for the heads-up!!:)

Here's another one of those letters. I am tempted to reply.

This chain letter was started in hopes of bringing relief to other tired and
discouraged men. Just send a copy of this letter to five of your friends
who are equally tired and discontented.

Then bundle up your wife and/or girlfriend and send her to the man whose
name appears at the top of the following list, and add your name to the
bottom of the list.

When your turn comes, you will receive 15,625 women. One of them is bound
to be better than the one you already have.

At the writing of this letter, a friend of mine has already received 184
women, of whom four were worth keeping.

REMEMBER this chain brings luck.

One man's pit bull died, and the next day he received a Playboy playmate.

An unmarried man living with his widowed mother was able to choose
between a Hooter's waitress and a Hollywood super model.

You can be lucky too, but DON'T BREAK THE CHAIN !

One man broke the chain and got his wife back again.

Let's keep it going, men! Just add your name to the bottom of the list
below!
