I get very hungry after a work out. Within 1/2 hour ...I eat lunch ... its ok or wait longer before I eat ... after I eat.... I feel sleepy ...

Ive read its best to eat simple carbs with in a hour of completing your training session. Aperntly there is a window where your body can aborb these carbs instaed of storing them.
I think you feel tierd because your body pumps out insulin to combat your high blood sugar, so you go from feeling super charged to sleepy in a small amount of time.
Keep to complex carbs all day apart from either side of your workout, when you should eat simple carbs. I always eat those packets of mixed fruit, well nice....
However unless your workout is not near your bed time brush your teeth after eating the fruit, my dentist was happy with me, nor were my teeth!!

i workout afternoon ... i eat around 3 to 4pm ... i wish i could workout earlier .. my job sucks ...

I usually eat an hour or so after working out. (breakfast) Sometimes I still don't have much of an appetite though. Either way I still have to eat!!
