I like to know how you feel about this work out ~Close-Grip presses~ I don't think it works triceps very well. IM sure IM doing it right. I tried both heavy and lite weight. I think it does more the chest than triceps. its in my program. I always end up doing one more triceps workout just to feel that burrrrrnnnn .

Hmm...I've tried them and think they work great...have someone at the gym check your form when you are doing them..and really focus on your tri's when you do. Also depends on which head of the tricept you are trying to hit.

You may also want to try a different bar. If you're currently using a straight bar to perform close-grip presses, try the EZ curl bar.
You may also want to try this (it really works; trust me, I do it and its absolutely awesome!): If you have never tried skullcrushers, they are a must. Increase the weight on every set (I do 5-6 sets). After the 4th, 5th, and 6th sets, when you reach failure, drop the bar on your chest and immediately start pushing out close-grip presses until you reach failure with those. Your triceps will burn so bad you'll want to cry. Rest 90-120 seconds between sets. Try it - I guarantee you'll love it.

is is easy for youto isolate your tri's..I've learned to flex them independenly from the rest of my arm muscles..and this really helps me to isolate better...
The other thing..different people react differently to exercises..I seem to really feel a "burn" on kickback..but I've heard that these aren't the BEST exercises for your tris..go figure.
